Pepsi Center Information

The Pepsi Center is one of America's top sports and entertainment venues. Located in Colorado, this facility is surrounded by clear sight lines, breathtaking views and wide open space. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Pepsi Center was held in November 1997. This venue, which is privately owned and operated, opened two years after construction began. October 1999 marked the inaugural event, which drew a sold-out crowd for a performance by Celine Dion. Since that time, the Pepsi Center has hosted a wide variety of events, including hockey, basketball, music, ice shows and family events.

This masterpiece facility was built under the design of HOK Sports Facilities Group and encompasses 4.6 acres of Colorado's central Platte Valley. With over 675,000 square feet and five levels of access, the Pepsi Center is not about to get lost in the sea of the tall snow-capped mountains that Colorado is well known for. Denver's very own NBA franchise team, the Nuggets, call this facility home. Among the other tenants are NHL's Colorado Avalanche, NLL's Colorado Mammoth and the AFL's Colorado Crush. The Pepsi Center can accommodate more than 19,000 fans for basketball games and over 18,000 for hockey, arena football and lacrosse. Among the many seating options are 95 luxury suites and 1,900 club suites to choose from.

Pepsi Center combines a state of the art seating with a variety of dining options. The Ridgeline is located on the Club Level and offers fine dining. The Denver Post Newsroom, also located on the same concourse, offers a casual lounge atmosphere with a view of the Rocky Mountains. The Blue Sky Grill is located on the ground level and offers a variety of grilled goodies. Additional fan amenities include a modern sound and lighting system, a four-sided Sony LED JumboTron and a 60,000 lb.

Scoreboard featuring an eight-sided matrix and game in progress display board. The Pepsi Center is one of only a select few sports venues located in North America to offer a separate practice facility for their home team. The Berger Funds NBA Practice Court offers an excellent experience for athletes preparing for the big game. The Denver Nuggets use this full-size basketball court for every practice session and in preparation for every game.

Fans who are searching for official souvenirs, apparel and other collectibles will enjoy browsing at Altitude Authentics, which is located in the Grand Atrium on the Pepsi Center's ground level. Among the items, fans can shop for Denver Nuggets, Colorado Crush, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth souvenirs. Altitude Authentics is open on normal business days, but also during every home game.
